An adaptive large neighborhood search heuristic for the vehicle routing problem with time windows and delivery robots

Considering autonomous delivery robots in urban logistics has attracted a great deal of attention recent years. In the meantime, new technology led to operational challenges, such as routing and scheduling vehicles together that are currently outside service providers’ capability. this paper, vehicle problem with time windows (VRPTWDR) variant classical VRP is studied. The investigated concerned set vans equipped number self-driving parcel robots. To tackle VRPTWDR, an Adaptive Large Neighborhood Search heuristic algorithm developed. Experiments show performance effectiveness for solving provide insights on use alternative last mile service.
